Not resolved

In 2012 Sleepy's was kind enough to work with us to replace our defective Dr. Breus mattress. It's now 2014 and the new mattress... a My Side mattress... is just as bad as the Dr. Breus. (See Sleepys - Beware of the Dr. Breus bed!) If I sit on the bottom where my feet go, it barely sinks. I sit in the middle of the side, it sinks so that the mattress on either side of my legs is nearly at the top of my legs. This is supposed to be a firm mattress.

I finally decided to contact Sleepy's customer service department again as they had been so helpful before, but it's been a month now and they haven't even replied to my e-mail.

We are now over $2300 in *** over this.

This is what I sent:

Attached is a receipt showing an exchange done in 2012 due to a defective mattress. The receipt shows that we paid a bit more to "upgrade" to a "My Side" mattress. Rosalie in your office was a huge help to us and we really appreciated the help with our problem.

At first, this new mattress was wonderful, but for the last few months it's been getting progressively worse. The middle has not sagged at all, instead it's like a hill in the middle of the bed and we're sleeping on the slopes on either side. The last week or so I've been trying to place a pillow on the edge of the bed in an attempt to resolve the constant pressure from sleeping on a downward slope, but I don't think it's working. Most mornings the pillow is on the floor and I've got a numb arm again. This mattress is also very lumpy. If I lie flat on the bed, I can feel gaps under parts of my body. I can't believe this is happening again, I really had high hopes we would be ok with this one.

I don't want to be a pain, but this is just as bad as the bed we exchanged it for. I think the Dr. Breus bed was latex and I didn't think this one was, but maybe it is too? Is there anything that can be done about this? I've been waking up during the night with part of my arm/shoulder or leg hurting and numb from the pressure of the slope (even if I sleep on my stomach!) and I just can't imagine this is good for me...

Monetary Loss: $2347.

Location: Smithtown, New York
