I purchased a mattress (and box spring) from Better Bedding in 2008. It was my first large purchase, and I was excited about owning something for the first time in my life.

I've moved since 2008, and my original invoice was lost. This wouldn't be an issue if Better Bedding was indeed still in business- My information would have remained in their system and my warranty would be valid, showing I was the original mattress owner. But the company went bankrupt, and was sold to Sleepy's...who wants nothing to do with helping me. At all.

Because they dont have my records. Even when I offered to research my transaction history with my bank at my cost of $100, they said it wouldn't be enough. Its now 2013, and my mattress is ***. My EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLAR mattress is ***, and hurts me to sleep in it.

Within 5 years of purchase. I'm unemployed for over a year now, and I cant afford a new mattress. And i shouldnt have to- because I SHOULD have a viable warranty in place. Finding it difficult to see how else I can prove original ownership without an original invoice.

Sleepy's has been a nightmare to deal with and has lost 5 customers- my whole family, who has spent thousands of dollars with them in the last few years.

They were ok with that. Not ok, Sleepy's.

Monetary Loss: $800.
